What subjects are important for the purchase?

• IMT: (property transfer tax) – to be paid at the local tax department, shortly before the escritura. 
• Escritura:  (execution of the deeds of transfer in a Notary’s office). This represents the completion of the contract and the balance of the sale price is paid at this stage.
• IMI:  Registration at the Land Registry (Conservatória do Registo Predial).
